Hi, I’m Mark, thank you for visiting my profile. You’ve taken the first step by visiting this therapy website, keep going as help is not far away!
Some clients just need a space to share their experiences, others need to vent about work or offload the pressures life brings. Some have traumatic and life-changing events to carefully unpick and address. Whatever brings you to counselling, we can take the journey together, at your pace and on your terms.
I have specific interests in trauma/PTSD, bereavement, ADHD and emergency and healthcare services staff, having worked through the COVID-19 emergency in intensive care.
At present, I do not offer couples therapy or work with people under 18 years of age.

Nicola Holden
I developed a passion for therapy over my years working as an IDVA, supporting survivors of domestic abuse, seeing the changes that become possible given the right environment and mindset. My therapeutic approach is grounded in Person-Centred principles, fostering a safe and empathetic space with my client at the heart of the healing process. I believe in my client’s inherent capacity for growth, healing and self-awareness and aim to work with you to support you to become the best version of yourself.
While this foundation is essential, I also draw from a range of therapeutic techniques to tailor our work to your specific needs. This integrative approach that combines elements from various therapeutic models, such as psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy can provide a flexible and holistic package that can be adapted to everyone, after all therapy is not a “one shoe fits all” we are all unique.
I am also a fully qualified Integral Eye Movement practitioner (IEMT). This is an evolving field focused on quick therapeutic change, particularly concerning unwanted emotions and behavioural patterns. The approach seeks to answer the question, “how have we come to feel the way we do?” This inquiry can lead us to meaningful changes in our emotional well-being. Essentially IEMT expanded upon the principles of EMDR by broadening its application beyond trauma, developing a more flexible and holistic approach by looking at emotional imprints we carry.
I am also a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and I work in accordance with their ethical guidelines. I hold a current enhanced DBS certificate and insurance, while attending monthly supervision.

Jose Jackson
Hi, I’m Jose, and I’m glad you’ve found my page. People seek counselling for all sorts of reasons. Perhaps you’re feeling overwhelmed, stressed, stuck, or worried about something happening in your life. Maybe you’re struggling to cope and know something needs to change. I offer support and guidance towards emotional healing, personal growth, and positive change.
As a BACP Accredited, person-centred counsellor with over 20 years of experience, I provide a safe, confidential, and welcoming environment where all clients are met with respect and acceptance.
Counselling is tailored to your unique needs, and I will follow your lead throughout the process. Some people come to therapy with a clear idea of the issues they want to explore, while others may have a sense that something isn’t right but can’t quite pinpoint the cause. Person-centred counselling isn’t about giving advice or telling you what to do. Instead, it’s about helping you gain clarity, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and foster greater self-compassion, wellbeing, and empowerment. Whatever challenges you’re facing, I will be there alongside you, offering support in a safe and caring way.
In addition to my professional qualifications, I bring a deep understanding of the complex and varied roles we often take on in life. My lived experiences allow me to create a space where you feel truly heard, understood, and supported.
I can help with a range of issues, including anxiety, addiction, bereavement, child-related problems, cultural and identity concerns, depression, health-related challenges, loss, menopause, and men’s issues. My experience also covers neurodiversity, relationships, self-esteem, sexual identity, spirituality, stress, trauma, women’s issues, and work-related difficulties.
The types of therapy I offer include humanistic, integrative, and person-centred approaches. I work with adults and offer both long-term and short-term therapy, either face-to-face or online, depending on what suits your needs best.

I am a qualified counsellor, guided by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Framework.
I qualified as a counsellor in 2014 although my working career started in 1991 when I joined the British Army as a teenager. Since my Army days I have had quite a few different roles. In the past 10 years I have worked with adults and young people in the criminal justice system. I have also worked in the substance misuse sector, working with clients that present with a range of complex issues as well as addiction.

I am an integrative Counsellor, which allows me to use a range of counselling approaches including Person Centred Therapy, Brief Therapy, Cognitive behavioural therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

Do you feel like life is too difficult sometimes? Are you struggling to cope with issues or do you just feel lost, overwhelmed and unsure of a way forward? If you are looking to make positive changes in your life and would like some help, I can offer a safe, non-judgmental space where we can work together to gain a clearer understanding of your situation.
I am passionate about helping people and have worked with clients who are experiencing a range of difficulties. I am a warm, kind, gentle person with an approach that is tailored to your needs and at your pace. I can support you to work through your issues and find new ways of coping so that you can overcome what is troubling you.
I am now qualified in EMDR. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapy used to help people recover from distressing events and the problems they have caused, like flashbacks, upsetting thoughts or images, depression or anxiety. EMDR uses eye movements (or sometimes rhythmic tapping) to help process painful memories.
EMDR therapy shows that the mind can in fact heal from psychological trauma much as the body recovers from physical trauma. When you cut your hand, your body works to close the wound. If a foreign object or repeated injury irritates the wound, it festers and causes pain. Once the block is removed, healing resumes.
EMDR therapy demonstrates that a similar sequence of events occurs with mental processes. The brain’s information processing system naturally moves toward mental health. If the system is blocked or imbalanced by the impact of a disturbing event, the emotional wound festers and can cause intense suffering. Once the block is removed, healing resumes.

I am a Person-Centred Counsellor who has studied to diploma at Bury College. My background is ten years’ experience in mental health settings, working with a wide variety of clients such as a forensic background, personality disorders, drug, and alcohol issues. Person centred counselling is a type of talking therapy that centres on the client’s emotional responses to the issues that affect them. It offers the client the opportunity to discuss a variety of issues with a skilled practitioner who will facilitate the client to explore and reflect on their emotions, responses and actions to events in their life.
Person centred therapy is built on the respect for the client’s autonomy in finding solutions to their issues and in their authority on their own experiences. We will look at what matters to you, how you want to be able to resolve issues, look at what motivates you and help you find the ways and the confidence to achieve your goals.

Mind Sense Therapy
We can often manage the small problems that life throws at us, but it’s when the small problems build up when we feel that we are unable to cope. I would like to say from experience, seeking help at any stage, however small they may seem. Often embarrassment or shame can stop us from seeking help, but it might just prevent that feeling of becoming unbearable to manage.
I am a qualified person-centred therapist, which means I offer you a confidential safe space to help you navigate and explore what you want to talk about. I will offer sensitive, thoughtful responses to help you explore your issues, so you are able to find a way forward.
I am currently training in cognitive behavioural therapy, which will give you the techniques to help manage and maintain your problems. I believe that a person can identify ways to change, develop or work towards any goals that they may have. To make life that little bit easier. To me every person is an individual and knows themselves best.
I have worked with several issues ranging from depression and anxiety to Trauma and chronic health conditions. Whatever the presenting problem, I aim to be sensitive to your needs and strive to understand how things are from your perspective. I am a great believer that sharing your problems can help you heal.
I will offer you compassion, care and trust whilst being sensitive to your needs. I work with you to provide you with the time and space to reflect upon your feelings. I will give you the dignity, respect and remain non-judgemental in our sessions together.
I have been working within the care field, including mental health for over 20years. I am not claiming to be an expert. You are the expert on yourself. I will help you bring things into your awareness whilst working at your pace to gather your thoughts.
